Belchamp Walter Village Hall is a charming grade 2 listed building. Formerly the village school, it was built in 1872 with typical Victorian wooden architectural features. The school when opened taught 106 children until it’s closure in 1963, when there were fewer than 10 children in attendance.
The Village Hall, along with our lovely church, St Mary the Virgin and Belchamp Hall are seen as the jewels in our crown and they all nestle within the conservation area of the beautiful village of Belchamp Walter.
